I should dig it out for a return trip one of these days. But Steve Jackson didn't leave the idea of an introductory role-playing game in the past. There was Advanced Fighting Fantasy too, but in looking back I think that missed the point of the Fighting Fantasy brand. However, I missed picking up the 'Advanced' version decades ago. (Verification word: "Flatuoso". I'd want to keep a FF rpg very simple. Despite being released just over thirteen years ago, Youtube user GarlandTheGreat recorded a never-before-seen sidequest in the 2001 RPG Final Fantasy IX. The Fighting Fantasy series had five books aimed at teaching people how to run and play tabletop RPGs. I still own my copy of the original Fighting Fantasy RPG and about eight Fighting Fantasy solo adventure books (including the original Warlock of Firetop Mountain adventure). It's great that these books will be made available Fighting Fantasy -- via "The Well" -- was also my introduction to rpgs.
