I should dig it out for a return trip one of these days. But Steve Jackson didn't leave the idea of an introductory role-playing game in the past. There was Advanced Fighting Fantasy too, but in looking back I think that missed the point of the Fighting Fantasy brand. However, I missed picking up the 'Advanced' version decades ago. (Verification word: "Flatuoso". I'd want to keep a FF rpg very simple. Despite being released just over thirteen years ago, Youtube user GarlandTheGreat recorded a never-before-seen sidequest in the 2001 RPG Final Fantasy IX. The Fighting Fantasy series had five books aimed at teaching people how to run and play tabletop RPGs.
